After having developed and expanded its presence throughout Europe, Turkey, India, China, Mexico, among other regions, focus has turned to the North American market as well.
Growing in the U.S.A
Back in the early 1990s, Meccanica Pi.Erre had its first business experiences in USA by supporting and cooperating with company Petroni from Bologna, which was the most important Italian die-casting die manufacturer at the time. For past projects, Petroni played the role of prime contractor. Thanks to this cooperation, Meccanica Pi.Erre has exported dozens of trimming tools, each combined with a die-casting die, to customers in the United States, including Ford die-casting companies located in the Detroit area.
As is well known, the US Administration, in order to improve its economy, has focused on reviving the manufacturing industry, investing particularly in the automotive field. This factor has impacted the industry for aluminum components, used for automotive and manufactured by aluminum foundries, creating interesting opportunities and determining important and attractive market outlooks for European companies, including Meccanica Pi.Erre.
In this regard, Meccanica Pi.Erre strives to continually develop its sales and technical presence in the United States and has been supported by a qualified American company working in HPDC for the past 2 years. Thanks to this cooperation, the facility is able to provide good sales effectiveness in the North American market by providing quality post-sales service throughout the US; a crucial aspect required by customers as an essential condition to placing orders.
Step by step, Meccanica Pi.Erre has grown to meet challenges, increasing its turnover by about 10% (in part thanks to North American market) and setting ambitious and concrete goals.
Important Orders by NEMAK, Shiloh, Magna and KSS
In 2016, Meccanica Pi.Erre filled important orders for trim tools as well as de-flashing trim presses to four Tier-one US companies, including Nemak, Shiloh, Magna, and KSS. Those trim tools and trim presses are used for structural components in particular, as well as for crank-case production. In addition, in the last months of 2017, Meccanica Pi.Erre supplied the General Motors plant in Indiana with large trim tools and trim presses in cooperation with an important prime contractor within the field.
