The Association of German Die Casting Foundries e.V. (VDD) will continue to be the conceptual sponsor of the EUROGUSS trade fair for at least four more years and will continue to organise the Die Casting Day every two years parallel to EUROGUSS in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The association has now confirmed this as part of a contract extension with NürnbergMesse. The industry association and the exhibition company are thus continuing their successful cooperation in the future.
"We are very pleased to be able to continue the EUROGUSS success story together with the VDD in the future," emphasises Rolf Keller, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse. "The die-casting industry is a key sector for German industry. Parts and components made of aluminium, magnesium or zinc die casting will continue to be of growing importance in the future. At EUROGUSS and Die Casting Day, foundries face the challenges of tomorrow."
"Every two years EUROGUSS is a must-attend event for foundries and their suppliers in Germany and Europe," adds Hartmut Fischer, Chairman VDD and Business Manager Magnesium Die Casting at Stihl. "And the die-casting industry needs such a platform for dialogue and exchange more than ever. This is where new topics and challenges, from CO2-neutral production to the change in vehicle drive systems to e-mobility, can be discussed together; this is where ideas and approaches to solutions emerge. Therefore, it was not a question for us to extend our cooperation as conceptual sponsor of EUROGUSS and organiser of the parallel Die Casting Day. On the contrary - in future we will also jointly award the European Die Casting Prize at the fair."
The next EUROGUSS will take place from 18 to 20 January 2022 in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, accompanied by the VDD's Die Casting Day. For the first time, the VDD will also be holding the European Die Casting Competition together with EUROGUSS, with prizes being awarded at the fair.
