UZB – The Uzbekistan Foundry and Mechanical Plant (LMZ) aims to increase the export of freight cars and spare parts to $15 million this year

LMZ’s achievements last year demonstrate its potential: production output of $21.4 million and the export of 170 freight cars and spare parts worth $10 million.

Special attention is given to expanding the production of special wagons for mining and metallurgical enterprises, as well as new types of wagons with spacious compartments.

The annual capacities of the plant are significant: 1.2 thousand new and 1.5 thousand refurbished wagons, as well as the production of 26 thousand tons of products in the foundry shop.

These figures are made possible by the operation of 26 workshops, including wagon-building, mechanical assembly, wheel, and others.

In addition to LMZ, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Tashkent Plant for the Construction and Repair of Passenger Cars (TVSRZ), where ambitious plans for modernization and expansion of production are also announced.

The country aims to increase exports not only of freight but also of passenger cars, showcasing its potential in the global railway industry market.
