Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH will demonstrate its complete portfolio of solutions for core making technology at GIFA 2023 (12th-16th June 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany), the world's largest foundry trade fair. As a full-service provider, Laempe offers a wide range of products from the design to the construction of turnkey plants: core shooters, including gassing units, core sand mixers, automation and robotics solutions as well as automated visual and quality inspections. In addition, there is a worldwide network of subsidiaries and partners for service. Laempe is thus the only company in core production technology to cover the entire value chain. With the 3D printer developed in-house, a solution in the field of additive manufacturing has now been added. Laempe is thus strengthening its claim as a global full-range supplier and technology leader in core manufacturing.
"Foundries worldwide are facing major challenges: Conservation of resources, material availability, energy efficiency, transformation of the automotive industry and shortage of skilled workers are just a few buzzwords. Laempe offers solutions for all these challenges and this is exactly what we want to show at GIFA 2023. With its global presence and innovative portfolio, Laempe has a unique selling point in the industry," explains André Klimm, Managing Director of Laempe Mössner Sinto.
At GIFA, Laempe will be represented with, among other things, the LL20 core shooter and an LVM mixer (type LVM) at its stand (Hall 17 Booth D23). The LL series are the "all-rounders" in Laempe's product portfolio: The core shooters of this series are small, compact machines with easy handling. The gassing unit, control system, control cabinet, hydraulics and cabin are already integrated and fully networked. The LVM core sand mixer series, on the other hand, is characterised by homogeneous mixing quality, short mixing cycle times and high economic efficiency - perfect for all size requirements and the needs of many markets worldwide.
Automated visual inspection from Laempe sets industry standards Another focus at GIFA will be Laempe's solutions for the automated visual inspection of cores, moulds and castings. Since the integration of the Inspectomation company, Laempe has been offering state-of-the-art inspection systems with the CORE-VISION® (core and mould inspection), the DISC-INSPECTOR® (automatic brake disc inspection) and the FLEXINSPECTOR (inspection of complex castings), which work 100 per cent inline and can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of customer requirements and products.
At GIFA 2023, Laempe Mössner Sinto will also present the special features of its own 3D printer, which, with its multitude of advantages, has been specially developed for the additive manufacturing of complex cores. Recently, the first six 3D printers have been delivered and are now in use at one of the world's largest car manufacturers.
"Laempe has greatly expanded the field of additive manufacturing in recent years and now has a market-leading product from its own development. With the 3D printer, Laempe Mössner Sinto is expanding its range of products and offering its customers an innovative solution that will help to successfully shape the transformation in the foundry industry," Klimm continues.
Automation with Laempe: from engineering to final inspection Another focus at the trade fair will be the comprehensive automation and robotics solutions that Laempe offers on a customised basis. The company implements automation for all areas in core production: sand preparation, core shooter, core transport, core finishing as well as in moulding plant automation. This means that all areas can be covered independently, from engineering to final acceptance.
