Alcast is a foundry belonging to the Euro Group Laminations holding in Baranzate (Milan) and specializes in the diecasting of rotors for electric motors. In the Melzo plant, it manufactures all types of rotors for automotive applications as well as those for household appliances and for traditional markets. Overall, the Automotive sector now represents 20% of the business volume for Euro Group but will reach 55-60% of the business in the coming years. The main customers include Porsche (with the Taycan model), Volkswagen, Nissan (via Bosch).
