Long planned, we wanted to attend the visit to GERLIEVA Sprühtechnik GmbH despite Corona security measures and distance and we were able to experience in an impressive way how at the same time, medium-sized traditional and yet highly innovative and individual, the company from South Baden works.
Our hosts, Armin Linbrunner, who runs the GERLIEVA company in the second generation, together with teammates Oliver Foesel and Roland Mader, did not want to dwell long on the topics of the pandemic. Die casting had a difficult year in 2020 and that should be respected - but now we are looking ahead!
GERLIEVA Sprühtechnik GmbH has been setting international standards with its form spray systems with knowledge and skills for 40 years. The company offers spray technology and peripheral devices for the NE hot and cold chamber die casting for die casting machines from 40 to 5000 t clamping force, special processes (Thixoforming, Sqeeze) as well as spray and blow nozzles and equipment for forging.
On a production area of more than 3,500 m², GERLIEVA employees plan, project and produce at state-of-the-art workplaces and offer their customers complete and individual solutions.
The key to success for a medium-sized company: individuality and absolute customer proximity
Armin Linbrunner doesn't have to think twice when he says that his customers don't get a kit, but rather their own, individual product.
In addition to the highest quality, proximity to the customer is the key that plays a special role at GERLIEVA.
"We look after the customer from the inquiry to the commissioning of the system on site with a project manager," explains Oliver Foesel. "The customer gets a permanent contact person for all topics in all project phases."
This of course requires a grown and sustainable team with low fluctuation, which then has unique experience.
The same fitters who are responsible for service, repairs and maintenance also work in the in-house assembly of the systems at open workstations. The employees have a state-of-the-art machine park for CNC production at their disposal, which enables a vertical range of manufacture of almost 95%, so that practically every component is available in the company.
A well thought-out spare parts warehouse also allows for a quick supply of spare parts in an emergency, because strategically important parts are always at hand in the warehouse.
Quality and environmental policy
Those who stand for high standards when it comes to customer proximity also demand the highest standards in terms of quality and the environment. This applies in particular to the quality of the systems supplied, the performance and training of employees, the procurement of valuable raw and auxiliary materials and environmentally friendly working methods at all times.
GERLIEVA Sprühtechnik GmbH international
Just as the die casting industry has globalized over the past 20 years, GERLIEVA has grown with and in the markets.
In addition to the branches in Spain, the Czech Republic, the USA and Central and South America, new partners in Turkey and China have been added in 2020.
Well-functioning local representatives, plus the possibilities of digital networking and remote services, were a guarantee for GERLIEVA's proverbial closeness to customers even in the difficult months of the pandemic.
It should stay that way, and yet our interlocutors, like ourselves, would like to see more personal meetings, exchanges with partners and customers and a healthy reunion, no later than EUROGUSS in Nuremberg 2022.
